Reinforcing migrant women’s integration in society and the labour market
Rinascita Europe in 2020 has been partner of “i-WELCOME – Reinforcing migrant women’s integration in society and the labour market” project (KA204-F3C3C67A).
The project has been innovative as its main target group were Third Countries Native women, a special group with very low employment outcomes in comparison with migrant men and native-born women.
More specifically, the project aimed to:
raise awareness among women in third countries of their rights (access to education, work);
develop self-confidence and self-determination;
provide vocational training opportunities;
facilitate the active participation of community members.
It responded to the transnational problems faced by many countries which are trying to absorb a greater number of migrants, as well as in the latter’s willingness to integrate and more specific women, who are facing many issues, in terms of employment, social networks, and bureaucracy procedures.
The i-WELCOME project partnership involved 7 partners from 7 countries: GE, IT, FR, CY, GR, BG, SP.
